THE H1 CENTRAL TOURBILLON

The H1 central tourbillon was nominated
because Beat Haldimann from Thun
in Switzerland did not only undertake a
risk but also broke entirely new ground.
A largescale, flying, one minute tour-
billon carriage (diameter 16.5 mm) is
positioned at the centre of the dial,
projecting above the latter. The hour and
minute hands to indicate the time cir-
culate around the carriage. The seconds
are indicated (as centre seconds) by
means of a small index on the tourbillon
carriage.
